File encryption?

I would like to see tComm have an option to save a file encrypted (not merely compressed/packed) and viewable or retrievable with (obviously) a password.

Has there been any talk of such a feature?

Ahhh, I see in the Plugins and addons forum that there is a [WCX] 7-zip plugin. I did check the FAQs and this forum before asking...

TC mustn't include encryption due the Swiss law so you will always have to choose external solutions.

There is the AES plugin for example:

Maybe this standalone app is more comfortable:
