little error in TC 6.5's totalcmd.inc

Post by *StickyNomad »

Hi,

I noticed a little error in totalcmd.inc of my downloaded tcmdr650.exe. In line 169 and 170 it says:

Code: Select all

cm_EditPermissionInfo=2200;Permissions dialog (NTFS)
cm_EditPersmissionInfo=2200;Typo...
After months of heavy thinking and excessive research I finally concluded that the second 'persmission' line could possibly be obsolete ;)

Well, this doesn't bother me at all, but maybe Mr. Ghisler wants to remove it.

It is obsolete. :)
OTOH if Christian removed it it might break some old configurations.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Well, it is indeed obsolete for most users, but it was a typo in an older version of Total Commander. So when a user used this wrongly written command in the button bar, start menu, or as a hotkey, then it would stop working if I removed the command! That's why I kept the old and added a correctly spelled new one.

Ah, I see,... A spoonful of shame on me for thinking it was left there by accident :oops: :)

:D I think so too. But as long as its just an INC-entry being carried over the years and no 2 megs of old DOS device drivers for some needle printer, I don't care a lot... :wink:

Yeah, I already contacted Universal Studios for a spoon used as decoration in Jack Arnold's classic B-Movie 'The incredible shrinking man' (if anyone remembers this old, old one), this should do it :wink:
