Feature Req. for Custom Columns

Post by *robinsiebler »

It would be nice if it was easy to change the order of the columns. For instance, it is currently not possible to insert columns or arrange the columns without deleting the current columns.

It would also be nice if it were possible to put Name and Ext at the bottom of the column list. That way, the people who don't want to see this info (for whatever reason), can simply move the columns to the end of the list and make sure the view isn't wide enough for them to be visible.[/list]

Great Idea! 100% support this request for Movable Colums - this way TC still would have them (Name & Ext) to navigate and we dont need to see them...

You can change the order of custom columns (other than Name and extension) in a custom view.

Select your view from Config -> Custom columns and press Edit (well, I'm sure you know this, just put it here for completeness).
In the custom columns editor, if you select a column a spin control appears at the far right edge of that line (corresponding to the selected column).
Clicking on up/down arrows you can move the column up or down.

This is also possible if you create a new custom view and have at least two
self defined colums. but it would be nice to move the name and ext colums, doesnt it ? :)

Now that you've pointed it out, I see the spin control, but before, they seemed to have slipped under my radar.
