Hi,
I moved from Win98SE to Win XP the other day and there is one thing I miss - under 98 there was this nifty AutoEA app included in the LiveWare for Sound Blaster Live!. AutoEA was sitting in the system tray and watching the foreground application name and changing environmental audio accordingly. Eg when I ran Winamp it switched to the Concert Hall environment automatically, adding some reverb and chorus. There were also some preset from games, movie watching, etc. Now with the drivers for XP I downloaded off Creative's site there are still these environments, but there is no AutoEA anymore, that means no automatic switching.
Now, does someone know if there is something like that for XP? Should I install from the CD I got with my soundcard (there is LiveWare 2.0)? Or should I install LiveWare 3.0 for Windows 9x which I once got from Creative's site? There doesn't seem ot be any LiveWare for XP on the site anymore (at least I can't find it).
Thanks for any and all help
Roman

If you want to have really great sound with your SBLive and don't need EAX for gaming or whatever you should try out the kx drivers:

I think you won't miss the Creative driver crap, honestly.

icfu,
Thanks, I know the KX project, however, I wouldn't want to miss EAX and especially AutoEA - that's why I started this thread, actually. If you want to have really great sound with your SBLive and don't need EAX for gaming or whatever you should try out the kx drivers: http://www.kxproject.com/

Well, I just tried installing the LiveWare from Lefteous' link, however, it somehow doesn't work.
I already had the drivers installed (LiveDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe) and installed the LiveWare on top. AudioHQ wouldn't find a compatible card anymore. So I "repaired" the drivers again and now the LiveWare installation is overwritten...
Can anyone recommend an install procedure?
TIA
