Please help me with this concern: I've searched the forum against "encryption" string - and I've found that "Internal ZIP packer lacks the feature of encryption, because of Swiss law / export regulations, but one can download another 'wcmzip32.dll' and gain this feature".
Is it legal? I can't quite get it - that it's illegal using TC, but legal after replacing this file? Can somone explain it to me, or give links to some articles regarding that?
Thanks in advance.

Encrypting in ZIP file vs. law.

AFAIK it's illegal for the author, who lives in Switzerland, to distribute TC with that file. You can get the DLL from http://clubtotal.free.fr/index.php?dir=TC_Tools/ and there tcArchive_ZIP.Crypto.DLL.zip .

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
Ues I have it..Hacker wrote:AFAIK it's illegal for the author, who lives in Switzerland, to distribute TC with that file. You can get the DLL from http://clubtotal.free.fr/index.php?dir=TC_Tools/ and there tcArchive_ZIP.Crypto.DLL.zip .
So it seems legal to produce the product "made in Switzerland" without this feature, and agree (by him) t download this feature from elsewhere?
In other words it's legal to - download trial version of TC, register it, and replace that .dll file?
Depends on the laws in your country. AFAIK it's forbidden in Switzerland to export crypto-apps, that means the author cannot publish the DLL because someone in eg Iran could download it.
BTW: You can replace the DLL even without registering TC.
