IPTC Conntentplugin

Hi guys,

I'm very impressed of the new conntent plugins and have found the exif plugin on ghisler.com. I think these exif informations are very usefull. But I think, that iptc informations are more usefull.

I've found an delphi source library for reading iptc informations, unfortunately I've not the time to create an iptc plugin (moreover, I'm c/c++ programmer and not delphi).

Is there anybody, who could create these plugin? Or is there someone, who's allready working on?

Hi,

there is already a solution for IPTC. Download my ShellDetails plugin
Then install PixVue
Now ShellDetails will provide IPTC and EXIF (must be activated in PixVue control panel) fields.

Do you see the keywords in the Explorer keywords column?

That confirms my observatins. That seems to be a bug in Windows. There may be other ways to read this data but Explorer is no the right one here.

I've found what I'm looking for! IPTCExt http://photothumb.com/IPTCExt/index.shtml. It's the same as PixVue, but only for IPTC Informations. AND: It shows Keywords!

That seems to be a bug in Windows.

I think that's not a bug in windows, but rather a not supported feature of PixVue.

OK than you mean another "keywords" field. I thought you were referring to the "Keywords" field provided in Explorer which even doesn't work in Explorer. I will try IPTCExt and give it a try.

Why not? In my opinion it's one of the best plugins!
