One suggestion:
In multisession mode, when I enter Data CD/DVD, is it possible to see the content of the last session?
I often delete files or add files in an existing folder which is very hard to do if the last session is not displayed.
And a small bug:
Currently, it is not possible to delete more than one track in the audio section: in fact, the next filenames change each time one track is deleted, so the system cannot found the others tracks.

In my case it asks once for the Upload and then for every file.Sir_SiLvA wrote:Can you explain What you did?
I (xp_sp2) copied the complete folder "windows"
into "** Project: Data CD/DVD" and all I get is the
"Senden-Senden als:"-Dialog and after that he copies all
files without asking again...
This is the behaviour mentioned in another thread.
The author replied that it was a debug version.
But it looks for me this version is still on his dowload page.

You should be very careful so you don't get your company out of business! Since the Total Commander plugin interface is completely documented, you should clearly limit the use of your plugin, e.g. to home use or so, otherwise developers will simply call your plugin instead of buying your SDK...Loc2262 wrote:I have the official okay of FoxBurner's boss to use the SDK. That's actually what I meant with "full access".

Re: Upload question on copying files
Make sure you have the correct WFX file active in TC. The version from 8.2.2005 definitely does not have this bug, since I added this debug info requester on 9.2.2005.Horst.Epp wrote:I reloaded it from the web site but this is the same rar file I already have !The tcburner.wfx has a size of 725.0k and is dated 08.02.05 16:13 How can I get a version without that bug ?

I'll add a phrase "only allowed to be used with Total Commander and not as a standalone DLL", that's hopefully enough? I don't know too much about all that legal stuffs.ghisler(Author) wrote:You should be very careful so you don't get your company out of business! Sorry, that's not possible at the moment. But it's being worked on.fabiochelly wrote:In multisession mode, when I enter Data CD/DVD, is it possible to see the content of the last session?

Okay thanks, I'll look into that!Currently, it is not possible to delete more than one track in the audio section: in fact, the next filenames change each time one track is deleted, so the system cannot found the others tracks.

The current workaround for this is ctrl+F3 twice. Sorting by name upper will allow you to delete any and all files in a list. The plugin starts at the top of the screen and works its way down.fabiochelly wrote:Currently, it is not possible to delete more than one track in the audio section: in fact, the next filenames change each time one track is deleted, so the system cannot found the others tracks.

Problem is solved. It's a little tricky, I did it this way: TC collects a list of files to be deleted, sends delete commands one by one, and afterwards re-retrieves the directory. So in the FsDeleteFile call, I only mark the track as deleted (thus the other tracks keep their numbers = their names), and in the FsFindFirst to retrieve the directory I clean the deleted files up.Sticky wrote:The current workaround for this is ctrl+F3 twice. Hopefully that will work okay.

I'm afraid that wouldn't be enough. Maybe it would be a good idea to ask somebody in your company who knows all about legal stuff.I'll add a phrase "only allowed to be used with Total Commander and not as a standalone DLL", that's hopefully enough? I don't know too much about all that legal stuffs.
Why? What else is needed? If you know that it's not enough, maybe you also know why?norfie wrote:I'm afraid that wouldn't be enough.I'll add a phrase "only allowed to be used with Total Commander and not as a standalone DLL", that's hopefully enough?

I asked the boss and he said the phrase on the download page and in the docu would do okay for him. If you can give me some more info on what is needed, I'll ask him again.Maybe it would be a good idea to ask somebody in your company who knows all about legal stuff.

a "phrase" or any technical trick will not be useful at all, they can be removed (all which runs on your pc can be reversed). and if there's no legal framework behind then the way would be free to illegal uses.
Afterall for a program which is free no one expect to find protections...
A good statement instead, before downloading (but it's not enough, if a direct link can be used for example, from which to skip the reading of the statement, anyone can ensure he never read such a statement) and a statement also at the first usage or when you install it in totalcommander (for example showing a statement just after the .inf execution or using an installer) or into a readme is a better "legal" defense.

always latest 32b TC on a WIN10 64b
The lawyers can find their ways... Someone could interpret this as "TC must be already installed when I call your DLL", or "As long as TC and the DLL are in the same dir, we can use it any way we want"..., etc... for instance."only allowed to be used with Total Commander and not as a standalone DLL"

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
Okay, thanks for your help! I'm planning to put the following sentence onto the download page, in the documentation, a seperate license.txt file in the archive, and in a message box that appears when you first execute the plugin:
"WARNING! This plugin is limited to private use, and to use within Total Commander. It may not be used in any other environment, it may especially not be incorporated in other applications! No part of it may be reverse-engineered."
What do you think?

Yeah that's clear of course. If someone wants to use the SDK illegaly, they can always do it. It has a registration code protection, but that can of course be cracked.Nigurrath wrote:a "phrase" or any technical trick will not be useful at all, they can be removed (all which runs on your pc can be reversed). and if there's no legal framework behind then the way would be free to illegal uses.
I meant putting a suitable sentence (see my last post) in places where it will most probably be seen and where it classifies the license legally as valid, so legally the plugin cannot be used to access the burner SDK anywhere but from within Total Commander.
