Synchronize Directories?

Hi Guys,

Ok this is probably a finger problem on my part

but I cannot get Synchronize Directories to work anymore

I back up my laptop to my desktop across a network and across a USB2 connected drive using Synchronize Directories. In the past it has worked very well, but not now

I have my source (laptop) directory on the lefthand window. This has more subdirectories and additional files than the target directory (network or USB drive). I press Compare (with or without Asymmetric) and it says the directories are identical

even though they obviously are not

Can anyone help

Please note both laptop and desktop are running XP Pro

Strange indeed!

Can't it simply be a trivial problem, e.g. NONE of the display buttons (->,=,=/,<-) in the synchonise window is checked?

Do you have pressed "Singles" button?

Ok guys it was me

I had deselected the singles button

Depress the singles button and everything returns to normal

While I am on I have to say I was forced into using this software and hated it initially, shocking but true

However, it has become an invaluable tool I could not now live without
