Instructor,
I want that the one file if I moving cursor by keyboard be selected (like in Explorer).
The file under the cursor is "selected". For example, if you want to copy that file, you do not need to select it by Insert. Just press F5. Or if you want to edit the file under cursor, just press F4 - no need to select with Insert.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Hi there.

In Total Commander, you don't have to "select" a file if you want to perform an operation with it. When the cursor is on a file, you can copy, delete move and do whatever you want with it, without selecting it (by pressing "insert" for example). If the cursor is on a file, it is like the file is selected. "inverted cursor" is only color indeed. You can emulate the way Explorer looks with it.

If you wish to perform an operation with multiple files then you can use the "insert" key or keep SHIFT pressed and move in the list with the arrow keys (like in explorer), or keep CONTROL key pressed and click some files with the mouse.

P.S.: Oops, I didn't realize that the thread had 2 pages and Hacker had already answered your question! Perhaps i should go check my eyes (again) :) :)
