Some problems and questions

Post by *jesped »

1. "Save settings" option doesn't work well when the current active tab is showing a local network path, when I reopen TC, that tab starts showing the local C:\

2. Is there an option to truncate filenames in "brief list" mode? I ask because I use 32x32 icon size to display TC like the Explorer "Tiles" mode, but long filenames are a pain in the ass, as they lead to autoscroll annoying behavior: TC tries to focus in the new selected column, but if the name of any file in that column is too long to fit in the view the list keeps scrolling to the end of the file list.

3. Is there a way to set the internal Unpack process to Background as when you copy or move large files?

3.1 and what about setting automatic confirmations for "Unpack and execute" and such?

4. finally, is Drag&Drop support being fixed for the next version? it doesn't work when you drag and use Alt+Tab before drop.

ad 1. check your wincmd.ini. Is there an entry
NoReRead=\
?
Such an entry prevents TCmd for changing to network locations at startup too.

ad 3. unfortunately not yet.
ad 3.1 change/add in/to wincmd.ini ExpertMode

Code: Select all

[Packer]
ExpertMode=1
see also help chapter 4b) wincmd.ini

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
