Drag & Drop not working
I'm using an app that only works in Drag & Drop mode (Panocube).
I can't get TC to D&D either within a panel, or across panels. It always wants to copy the file I'm dragging. D&D works fine in Explorer, so I have to fire up Explorer every time.
I have 6.51 version of TC, and XP.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

Hello ! Welcome aboard !
¤ D&D works fine from TC to some graphic softs like XnView without copying…
¤ The application you quote assembles several pictures, it seems.
¤ Please, could you explain more clearly what you want to do, and what doesn't work from TC as it should for you …
Kind regards,
Claude

Hello !
- We have to wait for more details from wlprice at now
{OT : The character we spoke about is really a very old circular kanji…}
Kind regards,

¤ It's possible, since Explorer only moves the most times…Maybe wlprice expects TC to "move" the files intead of "copy".

Many thanks for your replys!
I'm not trying to copy or move anything. The application (Panocube) takes a jpg or tif equirectangular panorama file and transforms it into a QuickTime Movie (mov). To accomplish this, you must drag & drop the file onto the Panocube executable (or a shortcut to the executable). When I do this in Explorer, the app starts performing the transformation. When I do the same in TC. I get a "Copy" confirmation box. I've tried all the combinations of Shift, Alt, and Ctrl, with basically the same results.
When I do this in Explorer, the app "lights up" and changes color. Panocube requires that it be started only by this drag & drop method. Also, I've tried placing the app onto the button bar and dropping the file onto it, but that doesn't work either.
Maybe this just isn't possible in TC - if it isn't, it's no big deal. I couldn't live without TC - it's the most useful tool I've ever had.
Thanks again,
Bill

Leave the app in the button bar, but do this:
- write %P%N into the parameters field
- don't drag the file onto the button bar, but leave the cursor on it and press the button

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
Well, Hacker, you are Correct - it worked!!!
You know, I tried this, but I never just left the cursor on the file and clicked the app on the button bar because I tried just running the app from the command line, and it gave me an error stating that it only worked by D&D. I only tried to D&D the file onto the button bar.
This is even easier, since I can run the app from anywhere.
You are the Man, Hacker - I should have known better than to assume that there was something that TC couldn't do
Thanks again to all.
