I don't use tabs, but it FEELS like I should

Ok, like in Firefox, I love tabbed browsing.. But in Total Commander, they just seem unnecessary. I've gotten so quick with the tool, spawning multiple sessions.... But I feel like I'm missing out on something with tabbed functionality in Total Commander.

Do you use it often? In what situations? Maybe I just need someone to ease me into some of its uses.

I use saved tab configurations for loading folders by CTRL-D I need to access regularly.

So, for example when downloading a new or updated plugin I am loading the tab config displaying my download folder sorted by date, my TC related folder where i sort the stuff in by name and finally the plugin installation folder sorted by name, too.

I have several of these predefined configurations to prevent silly folder hopping.

I creat several most frequently used folders as tabs and lock them during a working session. It's a little easier to switch among them than with my long hotlist. And tabs give me a feeling that "I'm right here ready". :P
When the session ends, I unlock and close them.
