custom thumbnails doubling randomly..

when i right click a folder (let's call it folder A) that has pictures on it and select properties>customize tab>chose picture and select my own thumbnail from the folder, that same image gets assigned as the thumb of another folder in the root of the drive (let's call it folder B) which doesnt even have pictures in it.

when i 'restore default' thumb to folder A, the thumb of folder B disappears..

no matter what pic i choose to be the folder A thumb, it copies itself to be the folder B thumb as well!

it makes no sense and it happens with a couple folders..

any idea why??

my thumb settings are pretty much default.. i have tried both thumb caching OFF and ON in Explorer but it doesnt seem to be related..

Does it happen in Explorer, too?

Total Commander just requests these thumbs from Explorer (via OLE2), it has no influence on their creation...

yeah happens in exploere because of what ghisler just said..

anyone have any idea why?

it seems to happen to my second program files folder (ie. on D:)

and in my users documents and settings folder on C:
