i have a question:
Why you distribute TC English lng file with your Menu file?
is there is any difference between your external English language file and the English language included in Wincmd.exe file?
and suggestion:
what about merge the two files "WCMD_ENG1.MNU" & "WCMD_ENG2.MNU" in one file that is if you include "Left" & "Right" menu in "WCMD_ENG1.MNU" file the user will enjoy the 2 files advantages in one file
The English language file is actually the official file provided by Ghisler for translators. There actually are some differences between that file and the built-in English - for example are there som hotkey conflicts in the built-in language (has been discussed in the betatester forum).
The main reason why I provide alternative .lng files is that it is easier for the (unexperienced) user to pick a language and have the corresponding .mnu file being picked automatically, than to go through the .mnu open file dialog.
I have actually made small changes to the German and French .lng files (correction of small errors and leftouts), and my latest improvements to the Danish .lng file are usually to find here first (to be later incorporated in the official Danish .lng file)
--------------
The only difference between "WCMD_ENG1.MNU" & "WCMD_ENG2.MNU" is that ENG1 has a "View" option in the menu while ENG2 has a "Left" and "Right" option in the menu.
To me, it seems a little overkill to have all 3 options in the same menu. Some people like the Source approach to the view settings, others (including myself) like the classic Left/Right approach - hence the 2 versions.
