I am organizing and cleaning my MP3 collection and I have found nice programs to help me like MP3 Library (old favorite) and The Godfather.
I am facing a problem and it is the amount of files that are presenting errors like changes on MPEG version, changes on MPEG layer, sample frequency change, mode change and bad MP3 frames. All these errors are detected and can be fixed with MP3 Library but the process is very tiresome, every file has to be orocessed alone and believe me a one by one operation when you have more than 3000 songs is really long!
Do you know of any program that help me to do this process automatically? I am not sure if Godfather has this capability but I don't think so.
well if the file is really fucked up there's no point in fixing it because the fixing tool would have to know how the file should originally sound & i don't think such program exists
it's the same as getting the original unaltered file
Fixing bad frames can be the differece between songs playing ok in some digital players like the Creative Zen Touch and a total nightmare A song can sound perfect and still have bad frames. I am using MP3 Library for fixing them but the process is not automatic at all.
