Add comments for multiple files or folders.
How can I add/edit comments for multiple files or folders?
Perhaps a new packerplugin...

Copy the flenames to clipboard, open the "descript.ion" file in your favoured editor, paste the file list and comment your files (possibly with copying and pasting the comment to the other filenames).
is that any help?

Vochomurka,
Make sure the script doesn't overwrite eg. ACDSee's metadata. The description file can contain metadata after a Ctrl-D identifier (04h).

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Sorry, I don't use ACDSee, it's shareware while IrfanView is freeware. I can only say that:
1) My script works with the descript.ion file ONLY (but with the evident modification of the code you can preset any other name, e.g files.bbs).
2) If, after running the script, you choose "Before" or "After" rather than "Instead" option, the existing comment will NOT be overwritten.

Thanks, I indicated "html" instead of "htm"
. Right link is http://pprotcmd.narod.ru/English/Scripts/EditFileComments.htm.
Some people find that one specified by you is faster than one specified by me.
Actually I can't load "totalcmd.net" server because of some problems with my provider. That's why I gave "narod.ru" link.

If data lost really occurs after my script execution, please let me know. I'll install ACDSee, debug my script, and then uninstall ACDSee.
