There is plugin, which can read RSS newsfeeds.
Store feeds to reads it offline.

Preview build, can read only RSS 2.0.
To add new feed, just edit ini file.

Hi Midos,

It is a nice start ;)

Your example for Total Commander Forum gives me: "!!! Can't connect !!!" on the first line, below it, I get some articles.

As you said, it is a preview, so I won't comment on it yet ;)

Just a question, how do I read the articles?

As for the ones wondering what is going on in the ini file. The first line is [Feeds] . Put your RSS feed below that ;)

I did double click but the message is basically unreadable. It contains all the HTML code. This is to be fixed later?

In Lister ?

Post by *Clo »

:) Hello !
Yes, the messagebox contains all "tags" in feeds message. It's not usable, but further I correct this
- Whether we could display it directly in Lister with F3, it should be shown as plain text; Lister can do the job to remove the markers… I mean : the HTML files in the Feed-folder directly.
- Just an idea

 Kind regards,
Claude

I'm thinking of doing something like this myself, so:

For the blogs, there are no titles for the individual items in the feed, and they're formatted differently too. Is this a standard way to do it? If so, what should be displayed as the title for each entry?
Best regards,

Hi Midos,

Thanks for the new version ;)

Here are some problems I ran into trying to view the RSS feed:
When I try to open the feed item to display in Lister, the HTML is not parsed correctly. Here is an example:

Code: Select all

<html><head><title>Plugins :: RE: Image sequence diplaying</title></head><body topmargin="0" leftmargin="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0"><font face="Arial"><table width="100%" border="0"><tr><td bgcolor="#888888"><b>Plugins :: RE: Image sequence diplaying</b><br><font size="-1">Thu, 04 Aug 2005 10:04:08 -0500</font></td></tr><td bgcolor="#FFFFFF">Author: <a href="http://ghisler.ch/board/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=22_FIND_DATA structures. To change the name, you need to change the FindData-&gt;cFileName item.<br />_________________<br />Author of Total Commander<br /><a href="http://www.ghisler.com" target="_blank">http://www.ghisler.com</a></span><br />  <br><br><a href="http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=65559#65559">http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=65559#65559</a></td></tr></table></font></body></html>
What you will see is that on a <a href tag the <> are replaced by > and <. This causes the html file to display improperly.

Then a question :?:
To edit the RSS feeds, that is still done directly in the ini file?
