Automatic transition in full screen mode when viewing video and Avi&Mpg directly on full screen using "F3" in Tc work perfectly with this release.
But the problem with Avi to Mpg transition with "down arrrow" on QuickViewMode still exists.
As a matter of interest, Down-arrow is not a problem here. Tried mpg-mpg-avi-mpg and mpg-mpg-wmv-mpg, it all seems to work OK. System is XP+sp2, TC6.52, MediaShow 0.8.7 (0.8.6 worked fine too). It's a great plugin and very speedy too.
Minor Wishlist: (1) when single file viewing is selected I'd like to be able to step forward/backward thru the supported files in the current directory using the space/backspace or arrow keys without first having to preselect a playlist.
(2) Seems I'm not the only one to be horribly confused by the default "Restore last postion?" dialogue box. I eventually realised that it meant "Resume from when last stopped" and was not a window positioner. Doh! Apart from the dialogue being re-phrased, I feel the default ought to be "Don't auto-save position" since the space key pauses/resumes immediately and there can't be that many who want to carry on from when last stopped after having exited for some time.
(3) The useful ability to begin playing from any arbitrary start point is available when the file is Quickviewed but doesn't seem to be available in normal Lister view. Would like to see it there too (or have I missed it somehow?).
Nevertheless, thanks to the author for a fine piece of work.

It's possible to do it (at least on full screen) just look for Remote->Keyboard on settings and assign the keys that you want to PlayNext/PlayPrev.
I have been testing mpg-mpg-avi-mpg & "down arrow" with a different avi file and it works ok, thanks.
Thanks for the pointer. I am aware that stepping thru a highlighted file list (ie. effectively a playlist) is possible with the keyboard and this works well irrespective of screen size. What I really wanted was to avoid having to highlight any files beforehand. I merely want to begin playing one file (the one under the cursor) with Media Show being aware of which directory I am currently in and sequencing thru the (supported) files in that directory upon keyboard input. A la Irfanview in fact!

I do not have to highligth any files beforehand, I merely play one file (the one under the cursor) on full screeen with "F3" and then i use PgUp/PgDown (configured by me on settings) to sequencing thru the (supported) files in that directory exactly like i do with Xnview/Irfanview. Bye.
Thanks, but no joy here. I had earlier done as you suggested without success. Just to make sure I hadn't screwed up I've just tried it again rigorously. Uninstalled and reinstalled 0.8.7. Restarted TC. Settings to full-screen. Key defs to PAGEUP/PAGEDN. F3 shows full-screen, but pUP/pDN just replays the same (mpg) file in a directory with many files.
Quickviewed files refuse to play any more than once too. I needed to move the cursor off and then back to the file to play it again. Strange, I could have sworn it worked OK before.
Just attempted pUP/pDN with focus on Quickview pane - Access Vioation! Oh well, back to the drawing board.
I'm trying to find a way to play 24 bit WAV files form Total Commander, but without success so far.
The problem is that MS Media Player won't play these files and all the plugins seems to use MP's engine. I've also installed Winamp on my system and it reads 24bits WAV just fine, but I can't seem to find to integrate this engine in a Total Commander viewer.
I've tried MediaShow, but without success on that mater. Do you know if there's a way to get these files to play form Total Commander?

Your sound card supports 24-bit sound files? If no - that without installing additional DirectShow filter-converter (24 > 16) similar files is not will reproduced. In WinAmp such possibility built-in
Hi, i've upgrade MediaShow from 0.8.7 to 0.9 beta 3, on full screen mode when you use PGDN & PGUP to change current video file a pink background screen appears during transition.
On 0.8.7 this screen is black not pink. Thank you very much.
I've been testing Media Show v0.9.1 and if i try to use Media Show with Tc "F3" (full screen) it doesn't even launch MScontrol.exe, i have restored my backup of v0.8.7 and with this version it works fine. Thanks.
