yes, i tried.

maybe it has something to do with my multi-monitor system, because on every other pc i've tested it works just fine.

i will test it this evening, as soon as i'm back home.

I can reproduce that problem. It only occurs when Load bitmaps as graphics at startup is checked.

Example:
image 2560x1920 jpeg
with option checked, the image is zoomed out to 12%.
with option unchecked, the image correctly fits screen at 34%.

I can upload that image to imageshack, if needed.

The problem seems to be that Imagine zooms the picture to fit the size of the non-maximized window (that's why I didn't have the problem because I run my lister in a non-maximized window).

If you try and enlarge the size of your non-maximized Lister window and save the window position - then start Lister again, maximize it and save the window position once again, then you should see that the startup zoom level now is more than 12% for the 2560x1920 jpeg.

This is definitely a new behaviour - version 0.8.4.0 zoomed (correctly) in maximized windows.

bad news after some furhter testing I can defintely say that the program termination in TC thumbnail mode is caused by Imagine.
I will try to find the evil image but it's a large directory...

I don't think, that this is a particular image, because I have also got TC crashes in thumbnail view mode, and this happend in different folders, and moreover, viewing every particular image by F3 (in Imagine) did not give any error.
I suppose, the problem is that Imagine receives at once very many requests for thumbnails, and this causes the fail...

That really crashes TC.
It seems that there're problems in GIF decoder.
I'll check.
