Combination of packer and content plugins

I would like to know, whether subj combination is possible, and if is not whether that is planned such opportunity in future versions. The matter is that I want to write a plugin which opens a file-container, for containing in which files in it various fields (in particular id3 tags) in separate columns should be displayed.

Currently such a combination isn't possible. I do have plans for a combination of file system and content plugins, but I haven't found a good way for the user interface yet, so I cannot say if I will add it at all.
