LFTP-Plugin?

what about an lftp-plugin (maybe based on cygwin.dll)?
lftp don't need any server-side daemon as sftp and is transparency to any software on top of it.

nope, lftp is a ftp-client using ssh/scp for transfers.
normally you need sftp to transfer through ssh. but sftp needs a server side sftpd you don't have everywhere.
