v1.8.5 (05/01/06)
Changes by Led <led@me.by>:
- after refreshing list is scrolled to previous position
- tweaking Packer plugin: added button to change extension
- enabling Packer plugin: if a plugin with the same extension already exists, it will be automatically disabled. Now it's easy to switch between several plugins with the same association.
- first tab always shows plugins types, others - regarding to option "Show types"

Thanks to Led for this update.
BTW, maybe someone here also wants to improve program (it's written in Delphi)?

REQ: Can you bring the extension window on top after installing a plugin? It always opens in the background.

Thanks for the additions, Led.

You mean when calling plugin installation by TC button bar, or when calling it from program itself?

I always install plugins by doubleclicking the .wXx files.
When using "install from" inside TC_plugman, the box gets focus.

Settings in wrong language for TotalSQX…

Post by *Clo »

2Alextp

:) Hello Alexeï !

- For several versions of TC_Plugman, I can't get the right language -French - for the settings of TotalSQX packer Plugin (by Lefteous) from the “Configure” button of TC_Plugman.
- I have French alright for these settings if I use the “Configure…” button from the TC “Pack Files” dialogue, though.
- However, Paul Vansumsen gets the right language. Paul and I spent around two hours in order to solve that issue, unsuccessfully…

- The paths in my “TC_plugman.ini” :
[Paths]
TCPath=E:\Tcmd6-5\TotalCmd.exe
IniPath=E:\Tcmd6-5\wincmd.ini
PluginsDir=E:\Tcmd6-5\Modules\
Bar=E:\Tcmd6-5\DEFAULT.BAR
PluginsSrc=E:\Tcmd6-5\Modules\TotalSqueez_Lefteous
PluginsFolder=%Commander_path%\Modules\
PluginsSrcZip=E:\Téléchargé\
PluginsLister=%Commander_path%\Modules\
PluginsPacker=%Commander_path%\Modules\
PluginsFS=%Commander_path%\Modules\
PluginsContent=%Commander_path%\Modules\
FtpIni=E:\Tcmd6-5\wcx_ftp.ini
RarPath=C:\WinRAR\WinRAR.exe
- The Paul's ones :
[Paths]
FtpIni=C:\Totalcmd\wcx_ftp.ini
PluginsSrc=C:\Totalcmd\Plugins\wcx\MSI
PluginsSrcZip=D:\Téléchargements
PluginsLister=%Commander_path%\Plugins\wlx
PluginsPacker=%Commander_path%\Plugins\wcx
PluginsFS=%Commander_path%\Plugins\wfx
PluginsContent=%Commander_path%\Plugin\wdx
RarPath=C:\Program Files\WinRAR\WinRAR.exe
The section of wincmd.ini @ home :
[PackerPlugins]
bz2=251,%COMMANDER_PATH%\Modules\BZ2\bzip2dll.wcx
SQX=95,%COMMANDER_PATH%\Modules\TotalSqueez_Lefteous\TotalSQX.wcx
- The Paul's one :
[PackerPlugins]
iso=511,%COMMANDER_PATH%\Plugins\wcx\Iso\iso.wcx
bin=192,%COMMANDER_PATH%\Plugins\wcx\Iso\iso.wcx
img=192,%COMMANDER_PATH%\Plugins\wcx\Iso\iso.wcx
nrg=192,%COMMANDER_PATH%\Plugins\wcx\Iso\iso.wcx
msi=511,%COMMANDER_PATH%\Plugins\wcx\MSI\msi-plus.wcx
sqx=95,%COMMANDER_PATH%\Plugins\wcx\Total SQX\TotalSQX.wcx
- The TotalSQX French (and others) language path here:
E:\Tcmd6-5\Modules\TotalSqueez_Lefteous\Language\TotalSQX_FRA.lng
- The French language path of TC itself :
E:\Tcmd6-5\LANGUAGE\WCMD_FRA.LNG
:roll: Any idea ?

- I thought that the path for the language might be planned at least as an INI entry to add by hand for such cases…

:mrgreen: Kind regards,
Claude

The problem is how TotalSQX determines current language in TC. It seems it determines it by LanguageIni key from Wincmd.ini, and file must be placed in %COMMANDER_PATH%. So, you need to 1. run TC so %COMMANDER_PATH% will be valid, 2. use "wincmd.ini" for settings.

I tried: I set Russian as TC language, set settings as "wincmd.ini" - TotalSQX set Russian too. After I renamed wincmd.ini to "tc_my.ini" (using IniReloc), TotalSQX could not determine language and set English.

So, it seems it's an error in TotalSQX in getting TC settings location - you should write to Lefteous.

TC INI is correct

Post by *Clo »

:) Hi Alexeï !

- I have a normal and valid <wincmd.ini> :
E:\Tcmd6-5\wincmd.ini
like shown already above…

Anyway, we need to know, know exactly TotalSQX gets wincmd.ini location, so we can find the bug.

Edit:
I understood. TotalSQX determines path to TC by %COMMANDER_PATH% variable, so when TC_plugman is started from TC, this variable is set and all OK; when TC_plugman is started outside of TC, this variable is not set and all is not OK. :)

So, solutions are:
1. I may make a workaround: set %COMMANDER_PATH% variable in TC_plugman.
2. Lefteous will determine path to TC settings file not using %COMMANDER_PATH% variable, but using registry keys. BTW, he assumes that settings file name is "wincmd.ini", that is not correct.
3. Lefteous will add "Language" setting to TotalSQX, so it will not need TC settings file.
You should ask Lefteous now.

Same, same---

Post by *Clo »

:) Hi Alexeï !

- The same, that doesn't work anymore…
- If I write %COMMANDER_PATH% by hand in the INI, then TC_Plugman asks again for the paths when I launch it !
- Giving the paths again, it does not write %COMMANDER_PATH% for the paths, while the option is set !
- In <wincmd.ini>, I have :
UseIniInProgramDir=7
- Below, the TC registry key for this HD :

Code: Select all

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ghisler\Total Commander]
"IniFileName"=".\\wincmd.ini"
"FtpIniName"=".\\wcx_ftp.ini"
"InstallDir"="E:\\Tcmd6-5"
- There is not any other <wincmd.ini> anywhere in that hard-disk under XP-Pro. There a single version of TC installed in that E: HD…
