I've tried the File Redirector Plugin. It looks very interesting, but it doesnt work with the %commander_path% variable for the database path.
But this is must have for me.

if i copy files from c: to c: via file redirector, the speed is about 5MB/sec. directly, without FR it is about 25MB/sec
additionally the percentage of the copy process isn't displayed correctly on large files. it goes up to 5% and then it falls down to 0%, up to 5 again and so on...

Yeah, I was mainly referring to the help file. And the DLL issue put me off too, of course - I just don't want to hunt for DLL's right now
