Yes it looks good, like in the AutoHotkey forum.

I prefer the thumbnail feature because it doesn't let the thread view explode:

Well, these just use the <img src="xyz" width=20 height=15> syntax to tell the browser to shrink the image. The user will still download the entire image.

Inline images have been disabled for legal reasons.
You disable images for "legal reasons" in the forum and allow it at the same time for "legal reasons" in the Wiki.
3DWIN administrator comes from Suisse too, there are no legal reasons to disallow image linking.
But the thumbnail feature looks very good! Is there a mod for that? The user will still download the entire image.
1. The thumbnail is automatically created by imageshack.us when the image is big enough. You don't need a mod for that, just enable image linking.
2. Thumbnail and target are two different links, you should take a look at the source code.

:) Hello Jeff !

• I support you request, and I think that an image in a reasonable size is much more explanatory as direct viewing, reading the text of the message at the same time…

- Although I don't use image-hosts - I've my own Web spaces on my servers - , I can assure that I wouldn't display "monsters" at size causing "scrool-bars parties", or porn or ad in any painting here ! This is not the goal !
 And Mods are there to control, are they not ?

- Maybe a limitation of size could be applied, so I would be bound to create thumb-nails links, but despite that annoyance, I would prefer this than the actual situation…

Indeed, I support too…
Just two examples that you can watch for feature-requests messages in the XnView forum, where the lack of pictures “on the spot” should cause that these requests would be incomprehensible !
And the sizes are still quite reasonable, I guess…

Examples here---

:) Hello Paul !

- Thank you to show my jobs as examples !
- We could find out some utilities for images inside messages here, they are legion…
- For instance, in THAT THREAD.
- There, the images (not too big) are not visible with the text and it's confusing…
- Result : Much more text again, and finally not any benefit about the global size of the forum :|

 Friendly,
Claude

Images are disabled on the board and yet I'm sure I've seen some members insert images in their posts. How do they manage to do this?

This is one of those things that happen when men do stay too long in front of a PC and forgetting everything about the real world: hallucination. ;)

Maybe your browser is able to load external images and display them inline? Would be a nice feature of course. ;)

Oh, ye of little faith! I use Opera's RSS reader and there they are (once in a while). I've often wondered what the trick was. I also hate the 'X-files' show, so it can't be that affecting my little grey cells!
