Bug: Can't extract large .iso files
I hit an error dealing with some DVD-size .iso files. Part way through the extract I get a disk write error on the target. It appears to be happening at approximately the point that the *READ* is crossing the 2gb point.
The error is repeatable and the files extract fine with Winrar.

You probably use the wrong filesystem. There are restrictions.
DVD-Images (usually) could only be extracted to NTFS partitions, because only NTFS under windows supports files bigger than 4 Gibyte.

1) The filesystem was NTFS.
2) I was extracting--the files inside never exceeded 1gb. The problem would come from creating DVD images on FAT32 systems, not from extracting them. (You could also hit the problem if you had a .iso inside a multi-part rar and were extracting the .iso from the .rars.)
3) I was able to use Winrar to do exactly the same thing that Total Commander would not.
Sorry, then your first post was misleading me.
I thought you're talking about extracting the image from an actual DVD, and you mentioned the 2gb barrier.
So I guess this is related to the plugin you are using, because TC has no inbuilt feature to extract iso-images.

I don't *KNOW* that it's happening at 2gb but it's somewhere near that point when it blows.Sheepdog wrote:Sorry, then your first post was misleading me.

True, but it came from this site.So I guess this is related to the plugin you are using, because TC has no inbuilt feature to extract iso-images.

Okay, I moved the plugin to the plugins forum then. Maybe a email to the author would be helpful, too (his mail-address can be found in the readme).

Plugins listed on this site have been tested by @ghisler and considered to be stable. But it does not mean that he's responsiblöe for them. They are mainly programmed by other authors and if there is a bug you should report it to the according author.

Go to your plugins folder and look for either iso.wcx or totaliso.wcx.
the Author of iso.wcx is
Sergey Oblomov with mail address: hoopoepg at mail dot ru
the author of total.wcx is W. Dong with email: taohe at hotmail dot com.
