I hope someone can me give me a clue/solution on this:
I use the directory synchronization feature of TC a lot and last week I ran into a problem of which I am not sure if it is due to a restriction within TC or has something to do with my ISP ?!
What happened is that I now have over 2000 files in one of the directories of my FTP-account and when I want to synchronize it with my local directory I get a message that the listing is truncated to 2000 on the side of my ISP's FTP space. This makes it impossible (as it seems) to get a correct synchronization ?
My ISP uses:
220-=(<*>)=-.:. (( Welcome to Pure-FTPd 1.0.13a )) .:.-=(<*>)=-
and I get (last part):
CWD media
250 OK. Current directory is /www/media
PWD
257 "/www/media" is your current location
Haal directory op
PASV
227 Entering Passive Mode (212,61,15,18,36,157)
LIST
150 Accepted data connection
Download: 210,322 bytes, 220.6 kbytes/s
Wacht op de server...
226-Options: -l
226 Output truncated to 2000 matches
I can't split the files in this directory as it is generated by my cart software this way (Shopfactory).
Thanks in advance !

This seems to be a server limitation. Do you use a trial version of that server?226-Options: -l

@Christian:
I have no idea if my ISP uses a trial of that software, I can't imagine they would as that would be outrageous if you ask me. I have a rather expensive business account with them and if that turns out to be the problem they can KMA
I will do as bytalized suggested and re-install one of my previous FTP programs to see if I get the same result.
I was so happy to only have to rely on Total Commander
to do all the jobs for me
Anyhow, I'll you all know later what I could find and thanks for the replies!
Grtz,
Howard

A little update of what I learned:
CuteFTP has the same behaviour/message as TC and I didn't bother to try any other FTP program. I called my ISP and one of the techs confirmed what I reported. If it is simply a matter of configuration of the open source FTP server Pure-FTPd I don't know (yet). I hope, as promisde, to get a call back tomorrow (with the problem solved
).
I'll let you know what comes out.
Grtz.

No call back (I would almost say; as to be expected
) from my ISP.
I'll call them myself again to learn what is going on but as the problem is clearly not related to TC I guess I shouldn't waste any more TC forum space to it
Final remark: TC rules
Cheers,
Howard
