That depends what kind of archive ur downloading?
If its any archive ur TC supports with installed or inbuild packer-support u can open it.

I guess u now that .met-files are no kind of archive ? :D

VLC can play partial downloaded audio/video files. (The parts that have been downloaded)

I'm refering to rar and zip archives "hidden" within .met partial files. I need to extract contents of the archives of not completed downloads.

just rename the .pat file. I do it all the time.
