I read the whole thread, but nobody has to have this prob:

Post by *e-PUNK »

When browsing a server, that uses special characters in its dir- and filenames (eg space, ä,ö,ü) these are shown like %20 or similar. When downloading such a file the filname on my local drive becomes that ugly too.
What is to do?

Thx e-PUNK

There's not very much to do about it, the server is escaping these speial chars - well, maybe Fabio can make it catch the special chars and change them...
You'll have to change the filename manually when saving downloaded files.

Ok how can we tell fabio catching the chars. He should read this board. But maybe he is not working anymore on this plugin, is he? Maybe anyone other can prog this in the open source version. Would be nice. And then fabio has it easy to add this fuctionallity.

Ciao e-PUNK

I will try to add this feature/functionality in the next version of HTTP SmartBrowserPlugin :-)

Can you also consider an option to specify Both
Agent & Refer Values ?

HTTP Referer is already supported:
Settings =>"Layout/Misc" => "Set HTTP Referer to current Webpage"

Hi Andre,
Is it possible to turn off the automatic creation of links to visited pages in the SmartBrowser plugin? I mean, I quickconnect to www.xyz.com and when I finish downloading I have a new "bookmark" in the plugin "dir".

That's the only thing that's annoying me.

TIA
Roman
Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

It is actually not a "bookmark" in the plugin "dir" - it's just a kind of browsing history: every page you visit creates such a kind of folder but they'll vanish as soon as you restart total commander or unload the plugin.
Currently it is not possible to turn off this "feature"...

OK well consider it a feature wish then, please.
