HFS Plugin - yeah I support that wish!
It's not only people using MAC and PC, I often get MAC CDs from customers to work with, a TC Plugin would be so much friendlier than the external tools I have to use!

Thanks, Matis:

It seems a very versatile and interesting player, but, as they admit, it doesn't support the 3gp audio (as they explained, for not being public).

Quicktime 6.5 supports it.

Is it possible to play quicktime files (.mov) in TC?

Thanks, but for my not so fast PC I remember older Quicktime versions were quite heavy. I'll give it a try and hope I can find how to use it without it having to be reloaded for each file that I'm browsing.

I would love a plugin that uses the PolyImagepro DLL (see http://www.polybytes.com/pifeatures.htm) to view graphic files. It supports countless modern formats, including almost all camera raw files.

Good idea. Why not to suggest this lib to Imagine/SGViewer authors.
No point in writing *separate* plugin with this library.

MPlayer, but this one from "Mplayer on win32": http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer-win32.php
It is precompiled with amr_nb from libavcodec. Otherwise you can view 3gp files but you cannot here anything.
MPlayer.exe with Param %P%N in the button bar is enough.

Which exe, please?

Post by *Hammillian7 »

Thanks, TychoBarfy. I've visited your link but have found dozens of possible files to download and I'm not familiar with the LINUX environment.

Could you please address me (us) more precisely to the right executable for Windows (Win 2k, if possible)?.

Thanks again.

On "Mplayer on win32" everything is for 32bit Windows systems.
Normally you must download and search all available codecs at Mplayer's Homepage: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/
KMPlayer's Homepage is: http://www.kmplayer.com/

I uploaded you my both configured players KMPlayer and MPlayer to Rapidshare packed with 7-zip.

On Rapidshare click at the "Free" button and at the following page wait until the links are displayed.
Then type in the picture code (a char looking like 0 zero is allways o; zero still doesn't appear; chars are not case sensitive)

KMPlayer: http://rapidshare.de/files/31514911/kmp.7z.html 14MB
MPlayer: http://rapidshare.de/files/31514261/mp.7z.html 32MB

Note: You mustn't install Quicktime, Real Player, 3gp and more.
Both Players run even Nero encoded MP4 and much more video formats, DVDs, TV too.
3gp files are only shown with MPlayer cause this is the version compiled with amr_nb in libavcodec, which is needed, if you want to have sound while looking 3gp files.

KMPlayer has the possibility to create a list of favorites. You can also watch TV with it, if you have a supported TV card. KMPlayer is also better for looking DVDs than MPlayer at the moment (otherwise you would have to run MPlayer in Cygwin).
If you find some file that MPLayer shows but not KMPlayer you can try to find out what codec is used by MPlayer.exe console and than put the codec into KMPlayer's main dir. This is how I made KMPlayer show Real Media files too.

You can run MPlayer either with the console mode MPlayer.exe or MpUI.exe, which is a GUI for MPlayer. In MpUI may be you must select your preferred language at first.
MpUI's Homepage is: http://mpui.sourceforge.net/

MPlayer and MpUI are Open Source. KMPlayer is Freeware.

Here's a more direct link to MPlayer codecs.
Look for those .zip files named windows-essential-... or windows-all-... They must be unpacked inside the \codecs folder of MPlayer.

2ND, you are right. All those codecs are even included in my 7-zip files.

I this topic out of date?

I know, I can use Autokey or something like that, but I think is possible only with parameters in TC.

Sometimes I work around my computer and I must answer to the phone. I must take a usual note or a phone number or so on. I have only one hand free [ few fingers :) ] and ...this is the real need - I want to write something.
Unfortunately, not with the pen. With the computer!

Nice to be a plugin, internal command or external one, activated with Ctrl+Q, for example, which start a plain file
with date and hours appended. I may be closed with ESC with saving.
It's a simple note book file, with several adnotations.

It seem like this:

-------------
<date1> <hours:minutes>

message1
...

-------------
<date2> <hours:minutes>

message2
...

-------------
<date3> <hours:minutes>

message3
...

AND SO ON

All you need is to start QUICKLY, EASY and SAVE also without any questions.
File must be create like LOG file in TC7.

Improvements will come soon after ...

Best wishes,
My Best Wishes,

Eugen

You can create custom command in TC's Start menu. Then assign shortcut to it using options dilaog.

Then you'll need some application that can insert date/time to the end of log and close without questions. Or just use the Notepad instead.

I know.
But are to many commands to do. I want to keep attention to the phone not to the keyboard. Try to do with one hand a lot of action someone with mouse others with keyboard.
Ok! Older (or newer) Dos Navigator have this option. Try it! You will be impress in order to compare the easiest way for note book (Ctrl-Q) use.

I remember for you:
Start note book with: Ctrl-Q
if the file notebook.txt not exist
create notebook.txt
save with notebook.txt name
endif
open file notebook.txt
insert date and time stamp
at the end of file
draw a line (character mode)

write message

END message with ESCAPE(save changes in the same notebook.txt file)

It's so easy

Best wishes,
