I'm also using language detection by filename but in cases where people use language filenames which don't contain any language code reading the first line is the only chance to detect the language

I wanted to try the last version so :
1° I made a BackUp of the directory of previous version who works perfectly (in french)
2° I have uninstalled TotalSQX
3° I have installed the last version
4° No French language detected for the Configuration ! But I d'nt worry, due your request (http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=129898#129898)
5° After some tests, I decided to return to the stable previous version
6° I deleted the directory of totalsqx and replace it by my backup
7° Impossible to have the configuration in french ! (I Use the default french language file of TC)

Worse :
No more language detection for TotalSQX with the others versions of TC in the same drive !

NB : I always have the ini file in the same directory as totalSqx and no other TotalSQX.ini else where

Did I miss something ? Suggestions are welcome !

The request not to report translation related problems refers to single untranslated parts of the user interface but not to the language detection. It should work.

Please give me the following information:
1. Name of your French Total SQX language file.
2. Name of your French TC language file.
3. First line of your French TC language file.
4. RedirectSection entry in the [Configuration] section in your TC main settings file.
5. Effective LanguageINI entry.
6. Tested alpha version number.

After some tests, I decided to return to the stable previous version

This is an alpha test so any feedback is highly appreciated.

Well you tried to revert to a previous state but failed. Of course I don't know what you made wrong. I can only tell you that Total SQX 1.10 doesn't support section redirection and never will.

Great to hear that it works now but what was the previous value that caused the trouble? If no LanguageINI entry is present the rest of TC is also English.

No "LanguageIni=WCMD_FRA.lng" was already into the redirected [Configuration] file !

TC was in french, only TotalSQX ignore it !

Hello

Today my daily full system scan says it found a Trojan horse in sqx2_std.zzl. The trojan horse is Agent.MCH. There are no other infected files according to the scan.

Can someone confirm this is a false-positive? The virusscanner I use is AVG Free.

Not confirmed here, tested with AVAST and KASPERSKY

"sqx2_std.zzl" (91.136 bytes, 11/04/2006) is clean,
and
"sqx2_std.zzl" (90.112 bytes, 14/02/2006) is also clean !

The standard procedure in such a case:
1. Upload the file to http://www.virustotal.com to check it with many different virus scanners
2. If only yours (or only some scanners, some use the same scan engine) report a virus, send the file to the maker of the scanner to report a false positive.

Total SQX 2.0 is now in beta state.

Changes compared to the last alpha version:

Translators:
This version is addressed to all users who want to translate the plug-in. You can find all required file in the package below.

The file TotalSQX_ENG.lng is the template for the plug-in language file to create. You need to use the appropriate language token instead of ENG in the filename.
pluginst.inf contains a short description of the plug-in. It's used during plug-in installation.
sfx_lang_eng.lng ist the template for self-extracting archives. You need to use the appropriate language token instead of ENG in the filename.

Please report any occuring translation problems or not-translatable strings.
To update an existing translation I recommend to download the translation from Total SQX 1.x and compare it to TotalSQX_ENG.lng contained in the archive. This should help you to see which strings need to be updated or added.

The string:

1600=Total SQX - Password required

is not tranlated in neither TotalSQX_DEU.lng nor TotalSQX_ENG.lng

When is the dialog:

1620=Total SQX - Password for updated files
1621=Protect unpacking added/updated files
1622=&Password
1623=
1624=&Confirm

used? If I choose "Encrypt" in TC's dialog when I add or update a file to a nonencrypted archive, I get the dialog from string 1700 to 1712 - and no files end up being encrypted anyway.

When is the dialog ... used

It's currently not used. I'm not yet sure if it will be used in future versions.

If I choose "Encrypt" in TC's dialog when I add or update a file to a nonencrypted archive, I get the dialog from string 1700 to 1712 - and no files end up being encrypted anyway.

This currently works for non-solid archives only. Is the tested archive a solid archive?
