OK! Sorry, Lefteous!

Will there be an sqx2_list.zzl in languages other than German?

You mean in Saxon dialect :-D
Sorry I have no influence on that. You have to make such requests directly to SpeedProject.

I believe Sven (SQX developer) is following this thread as he usual follows the TC forum.

Take care not to mix up the Saxon languages.

Thanks for the update. Seems to work flawlessly here (in Vista ). My previously reported problems seem gone.

A few weeks after the first alpha version of Total SQX 2.00 a new alpha version is ready to release.

Don't use this version with productive files!

Please report:

- If you can confirm that all changes mentioned in the version history work ok or not work ok.

Feel free to make new requests.

Please don't:
- make any translation hints at this time.

Are you talking about the language file of the plug-in or the language file for selfextracting archives? What description do you mean?

No, I am talking about the language file of TC. I guess TotalSQX reads that line in order to chose the right language from its own language file. And somehow 40 characters is too much for it to read. Apparantly the language file name also has to be in the form wcmd_xx_yyy.lng ind order to reproduce the bug.

To reproduce:
1. copy wcmd_deu.lng to wcmd_test_deu.lng
2. change the first line in wcmd_test_deu.lng to "Deutsch 123456789 123456789 123456789 12" (without the quotes)
3. choose this new file as your language file
4. marks a couple of files
5. press Alt+F5
6. choose sqx as packer plugin
7. click the "konfigurieren" button
8. Acces violation!

Or download and install http://www.totalcmd.net/download.php?id=TcMenu_en_7 and repeat item 4 to 8 from above.

Thanks for the detailed report. I could reproduce the problem. It will be fixed in the next version.

BTW: I always thought this line stands just for the translated language in the file not as a description. You seem to use these files in quite a different way

You shouldn't rely on that line for language detection.

See this http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=104395#104395 and http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=81230#81230 about language detection by filename.

Why not? There is no reason not to expect the language here. It works very good so far.
I don't check the exact matching though.
language detection by filename
I'm also using language detection by filename but in cases where people use language filenames which don't contain any language code reading the first line is the only chance to detect the language.
