Ah O.K., the menu font in your screenshot looks so "huge", that's why I wondered about DPI ;-).

Confirmed!

- Vista x86, Aero (theme doesn't matter), DPI is standard 96
- TC7.50pb4, fresh ini file, main window font set to [face=arial]Arial,10[/face]

Drive letter [face=arial]m[/face] looks like a [face=arial]n[/face] with a curl.
The drive icon doesn't matter (here it is a normal hard disk)
BTW: the drive letter [face=arial]w[/face] is rendered correctly.

The same effect is noticeable in TC7.04a:
[face=arial][-m-[/face]
instead of
[face=arial][-m-][/face]

Thanks for your report. TC adjusts the width of the drive dropdown list to the letter 'w'. It seems that the 'm' is wider in Arial 10 than the 'w', so it is cut. I will therefore use the wider of these two to adjust the width.

:) Good evening,
…It seems that the 'm' is wider in Arial 10 than the 'w', so it is cut. I will therefore use the wider of these two to adjust the width.
• It isn't that I notice when testing this, please watch THIS IMAGE.
- Either uppercase or lowercase, “W” is always wider than “M”… I checked also other sizes, that ratio is kept anyway… :?:

Seems to be that the lowercase m is definitely wider than the lowercase w:

Yes it is! After checking both, the problem is fixed here! Depending on whether the user was using uppercase or lowercase drive letters, I was checking the width of uppercase/lowercase letters, respectively. So the problem occurs only when you use lowercase drive letters...

History.txt wrote:01.06.09 Fixed: Drive dropdown list: For width, use maximum width of characters 'm' and 'w', not just of 'w' because 'm' is wider in Arial
Confirmed!
Tested with "Arial, 10" and both "DrivesShowUpcase=1" and "DrivesShowUpcase=0"

TC7.50pb5 , Vista (x86) aero
