Several copies=pain----

:) Hi again!
- It's alright a TC-message, no doubt !
- Like Paul says above, some troubles in the same painting can occur when you have 2 (or more) copies / versions of TC in the same drive !
- Only ONE copy is stated in the Registry; so, talking of that with Paul outside the board, I remembered that I had problems with my tool-bars because both TC-copies #1 & #2 were using the same INI, while each copy was in its own separated directory, with its own “wincmd.ini” !
- In such a case, the use of "Inireloc.exe" doesn't help, and I'd to patch this laboriously "by hand", because I've a single HD-drive in that machine...
- For you, since you have several HDs, the best migt be to move one copy (if you have two) in another drive, if UseIniInProgramDir=… doesn't fix the issue.

I finally found what it was... it asked for confirmation on LOCKED Tabs! What I don't know now if this is a bug or it was intended to work that way... :)

Actually it asks for confirmation on tabs which are locked but with directory changes allowed. Why? TC reverts the tab to the locked dir when you switch away from it, but the user who drops the file may still think that he is dropping the file to the directory he had switched to.

Example: Tab is locked to c:\totalcmd . User goes to c:\totalcmd\language , then switches to a different tab and drops a file to the first tab. He may think that the file would go to c:\totalcmd\language, but it really goes to the locked dir c:\totalcmd, so TC shows a confirmation dialog to make that clear.
