View the folder sizes automatically

It might be because the L1235 or D rule is too far down in the list, so other rules takes precedence. Try and move the rule up in the list if possible.

I have version 9.12 (x64)

View Mode and Auto Switch Mode are available since 23.11.2016 - Total Commander Release 9.0 final (32/64).

As an option, you could add the following in the View Mode (sorting as in your first picture):
Sort order: Size [✓] Descending

I would suggest that you omit the D option - with that it will also try to calculate space on shared network drives, and that can be slow.

Set the panels to Full Mode and the in the Menu click "Configuration" -> "Save Settings"

View Mode -> <Default> or <Vorgabe> -> Columns view: Full, Sort order: Name

If a View Mode is ended [automatically], then this view is applied.
