It's not possible to unpack this with Ctrl+PgDn because it is a nsis package.

Here, the unpacking with Ctrl-PgDn works fine,
but I don't see a reason to save 1.5 MB of downloads compared to the Zip with all plugins.
I always use the zip file with all plugins to update my portable TC.

Just use total7zip.wcx to read any nsis you wish. No problem here.

Why do you want to unpack an installer if you already have the zip from author ?
For installer, you can use uniextract 2.0.0.0RC4.

Here, the unpacking with Ctrl-PgDn works fine,
Then it is because it is your Total7zip plugin that opens the file , try and press Alt+Enter on one of the files inside the opened .exe file.

I have now aded that info to the first post.

You don't need that uniextract at all. Just useless waste of time.

Many thanks to all of you for your helpful advice. But I don't need a 7zip plugin at all. Petermad's comment is wrong and misleading. If someone wants to save download volume, he can simply use LZMA in ZIP - TCmd supports it.

here is the correct link: https://update.bioruebe.com/uniextract/files/nightly.zip
Please stay correct !
In the nightly version the uniextract.exe file is detected as malicious by some antivirus and specially by Microsoft (Virustotal 0)not the one of inside the yandex.ru link (virustotal 1).

Moreover!
I gave the official link, where the user can decide for himself whether to download or not.

Your link leads to an FSB file sharing service, and it’s not clear who modified what there.

1. Open an image. Let it be 24 bit jpeg.
2. Ctrl+T (Set trasparency)
3. Select color, press <Enter>
4. Get the "not registered" warinig!

What's that? Bug or feature? License restrictions?

License restrictions?
Maybe - I don't get the warning, but my Imagine is licensed.

If I use a clean Imagine.ini file (= no registration) I can confirm the problem.

You can still apply the changes made in the dialog, despite the warning. I have written to Sejin and asked if this is deliberate.

What is the license of Imagine now?
Is that a separate key, or just a text string in ini?

It is an alphanumeric code that is put in the .ini file when you enter it in Imagines "Help" -> "Registration" dialog

The code is chained to the user name, which is put in the .ini file in a coded way.

The entries in the .ini files are:

Code: Select all

[Registration]
Name=
Code=
So it is not enough to know the code, you also need the exact user name..

I just got an answer back from Sejin Chun - it is deliberate that the Notification pops up, when using the "Set transparency" tool.

I have noticed that if you press the "No" button in the dialog, then you can still save the changes to the image. That also applies if you press the "Yes" button, but at the same time a Paypal link is opended in your default browser.
