For some extensions they do work, for some - don't.
For ex. opens PDF files - and you will see that keys will stop working, unfortunately.

I see, but I use SLister for viewing PDFs, its much better.
For html and markdown files the keys are working, so I'm happy

Yeah, when you open PDF, you essentially get some other window inside WebView, which hijacks the keyboard. I'll try to fix that.

Try this new update!

Changes:
* I found the reason why Plugman reported an empty detect string. It shouldn't happen anymore.
* Further cleanups under the hood (= just see if something used to work but broken now).
* Finally, relative links to parent folders are supported

Sorry, intercepting hotkeys in PDF mode turned out to be rather tough. There are still options to explore, but perhaps I'd lower their priority; after all, sLister works just fine. Maybe my next goal would be to make the plugin faster by preloading the engine, but let's see.

Tests with *.html, *.htm and *.md are ok for me.

Well, so far everything is working as it should and there are no difficulties or problems in the plugin. including the extension DETECT string

When the PDF file name is Chinese, it may prompt "ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND".
for example:
"有十位.pdf" --ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND
"只有十位.pdf" --no problem
"我只有十位.pdf" --ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND
"我也只有十位.pdf" --no problem
"我也是只有十位.pdf" --ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND

These files can be opened with Edge without error prompts.

I can confirm this error. Another 2 "error" files are opening w/o problems...

Files with Cyrillic names can't be read too. For example "Файл.html"

Cyrillics is hit or miss, will invesitgate (for example, something like "index - копия.html" opens fine). Not sure MHT is supported in Chromium/Edge, will check as well. Sorry, no quick fixes -- a lot of other stuff going on.

Not work names with Cyrillic letters - а б е ж з л И Р Ф Ц Ч Щ Ь Ы Э Ю
with Esperanto letters ŭ Ĥ Ŭ
Probably much more letters or symbols in another alphabets.
Just will plugin works with any Unicode symbols in file names.

just look at a few posts above upon yours - and you will see that
"我也是只有十位.pdf" - for such name also problems were found.

this is a DEFINITELY very strange behavior - to do not "understand" only SOME letters from the overall alphabet.
and it does not matter - which alphabet. EACH language has some "not supported" letters(((
