JPG 2000 with wrong extension ?

Post by *petergus »

When I save a image as JPG 2000 the extension is JPC.

Is that really right?

Neither Irfanview 3.85 with all plugins, Photoshop 7 with JPG2000 plugin
or IE 6 with JPG2000 plugin cannot open it.

Changing the extension to JP2 does'nt help either.

Hmm, XNView handles JPC files without any problem.

I do like the plugin very much. Thanks for providing it!

The only thing I have found so far: I can't display the next/previous image in the directory. Neither N/P (the "normal" Lister uses thoses keys) nor the cursor keys work.

I'm on Win XP SP1

It works when you select several files.

I tried that as well, and it didn't work. But I have found the reason: I had to change the configuration of the internal viewer so that it gets called with the selected files rather than with the file under cursor.

Cheers

I thought that only jp2 were JPEG2000 format. Is it possible to add jp2 support?

Yes, and, what point are you trying to make?

TIA

What's the different between these two? If a software supports
jpg2000 format should'nt it be using the JPEG-2000 JP2 File Format?

(This is a temporary server of my friend.)

P.S.

About JPEG2000:
I'll change the default JPEG2000 save file type to J2K. :)

About late update:
Recently, I was very busy with my job. Sorry about the late update. :(

Thank you for trying! :)

Thanks! It's the plugin I'm keeping an eye on all the time. :)

Two question:
1. Could it display the image in actual size? That is, in "Zoom actual size" mode of ACDSee. Now it seems only disply in "fit the window" mode and there's no difference if you press "B" or not.
2. "Set as wallpaper" doesn't work here. It simply generates a file named "ImagineWallpaper.BMP", sometime under the folder i'm browsering, sometime right under the folder where Imagine plugin is. In the sametime the original wallpaper is lost. I'm running under WIN2KPRO.

One more thing: I like the wish as djk said
2. As you added status bar it would be fine to see there an additional information: after pressing a mouse button on the picture - to get a current color (in RGB and HTML format)
Thanks again for your great work! :)

And my biggest wish so far is a multiple image conversion. We have to ability already to convert the viewed image into another format and it would be great to see this implemented for a group of images. My only concern is that this ability falls into the wfx plugin category other than a lister plugin!

Good job, thanks.

1. Preferences window seems to be... too small. I can't see the whole Transparent part. (WinXp Pro)

2. If you choose pattern for transparency using "Browse" button - the radio button could automatically change to "Pattern" from "Colorize" or "Default"
