I can't find reference page now but dinos around do know that Ghisler announced, that anyone can use TC more then 30 days if he doesn't have money to pay for it. In that case, the one should accept nasty nag screen for eternity (contrary to crack alternative witch is forbiden and can only get you a lawsuit).


U may ask our fellow community member Sam Zen for more information, witch was the first to get that privilegy AFAIK.

I, due to my lack of understanding used crack until Mr Ghisler banned me from forum when he mistakenly understood that I share crack information. We settled this in the mean time (Emu helped us solve this), so I don't use crack any more.

I guess remember also that developing a TC's plugin was giving the possibility to receive a TC key if the plugin was published in the official webpage of TC, or something similar... (I cannot found where I read that, maybe I dreamed ?)

Alex, as I stated, it is completely legal, so if Mr. Ghisler bans me that will be missunderstanding again, I will add another ! and start counting from 0.

Sorry, I do NOT consider this legal - what you propose is a crack software. If you continue to post such cracks, I will have to take other means to prevent it, like showing a bitmap instead of a number (making the program unusable for blind users), or block the 123 dialog for the number of days the program was used. Neither I nor my users want such user prohibitions, so please don't post any more such cracking instructions here!

You can't do anything to prevent such things. You can only loose valuable time.

BTW, Can you describe exactly what was illegal about it, knowing the facts ?

Ok, lets examine this a little:

Software cracking is the modification of software to remove protection methods: copy prevention, trial/demo version, serial number, hardware key, CD check or software annoyances like nag screens and adware.

What did this [] do to modify the software ? Nothing was modified, even the nasty nag screen is still there.
If you by modification understand "modifying behavior without changing the binary representation" then above [] can also not be specified as crack as it does not do that - it speeds up certain thing in TC (like SuperMan was using TC)

So, the only "crack thing" about it is that you don't like consequences of your own acts.

This wouldn't be a crak even without your announcement, for first 30 days. You can always draw back your previous annoucement but I expect then to send e-mail to all users witch received this privilegy from you and ask them to obtain legal copy of TC (like Sam Zen) or to stop using it illegaly.

So, if you don't have anything ot object to this I would prefer my [] to be returned. If you have, please feel free to post it here, otherwise I will consider this as attack on my intelectual rights.
