Copy current path to command line (Ctrl+P) bug

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Copy current path to command line (Ctrl+P) bug

Post by *milan »

Found in version: Total Commander 6.55

Precondition: In the command line, there is a text with for example 50 characters, and the current cursor position (blinking cursor) is on the 3rd character.

Step: Press Ctrl+P (Copy current path to command line).
Results: 1. The current path is copied at the end of the 50 character string, not at the current position of the cursor.
2. The blinking cursor jumps to the beginning of the command line, which seems not logical.

I would expect the behaviour to be:
1. The current path string will be copied at the actual current cursor position (not to the end),
2. The current cursor position will be moved to the end of the pasted "current path string".
This is common behaviour when you do "Paste" (Ctrl+V) in any text editor.

This is intentional and will not be changed, sorry.
