TC with Microsoft ISA Server

Post by *pageme1000 »

Any Ideas...

I am trying to configure TC to work through microsoft isa servers with websense filtering. This is also in a microsoft AD so all user accounts are set centrally. I have accounts that should permit access to the isa servers and permit ftp through the proxy servers and websense filter. I just cant work out the settings to do this in TC. I can see from the listings that this sort of question has been asked in different languages but not in english so apologies is this is a repetition.

Thanks

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with Microsoft isa server. Are there any instructions on how to use it with other ftp clients like ws_ftp? If yes, I can give you the corresponding options for Total Commander.

TC with Microsoft ISA Server

Post by *xlagerwaard »

I had the same problem last week. I solved it by using the firewall client. Make sure that the FTP acces filter is active in ISA (=by default). When u start a ftp session do NOT enter the proxy address in TC and it works. Of course this only works if the default gateway of your computer points to the isa (direct or via for instance a router) and if you are allowed to use ftp via content rules and/or packet filter rules.

If you have any questions, just reply on the forum and i'll see if i can help you out any further.
