EM: 'This program requires a missing Windows components'

I get this everytime (almost=read most of the times) I close my TC (= I close it, it closes down properly and I get this message afterwards):

And I do got the latest version of flash installed and I tried reinstalling it too. Any ideas guys?
(It occurs only in TC v7, of course, not the 6th one)

Microsoft has released "The Windows Vista Application Compatibility Update". They didn't release detailed information what exactly has been changed but maybe it helps.
Download: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929427/en-us

As you are using the 64 Bit version of Vista the x64disableredirection (0 or 1) setting in the [Configuration] section could have some influence here.

I'm not using a 64 version so cannot really help here.

Well, I have everything from WinUpdat installed. I mean, I think this should be as well, but I'll have a look and give it a try. Might as well help I guess.

Flash.ocx is part of the "Adobe Flash Player 7" installation.
It seems to be, that the later player versions (8 or 9) install some other ActiveX player objects named flash8.ocx or flash9b.ocx.
So maybe it will help to install "Adobe Flash Player 7" too.

I doubt that this directly concerned to TC.
Did You use different lister plugins in TC7 and TC6?
Maybe You will try to start TC7 with an command line parameter like "totalcmd.exe /I=test.ini", to temporarily disable all plugins.

Well, I do understand that TC has virtually nothing to do with flash, but well, fact of a matter is that I am getting this EM when using TC. I mean, whatever might the issue be related to, I wonder why it appears with TC only, and not with any other application ;/

I'll try installing the old player too. Bright idea!

No, I am using a virginly clean TC. The only plugin installed is 7-zip one, latest v0.5.5. Thats it.

P.S. Also, when I press "Check for solution online", my Vista does do an online check and says that I need to reinstall Adobe Flash. And well, as I said I've done it many times, latest version. Doesn't help ;/

2. No, I am using an trial version (pressing either 1 2 or 3 with every start), because I am thinking of getting a license. Is there anything wrong with that? Or isnt there a support for trial users?

If you're trying to decide whether or not to purchase a license, wouldn't it be more sane to evaluate the current stable release rather than a beta? Is there some feature you just can't live without in the beta that doesn't exist in the released version? If not, then you going at it backwards.

If the problem doesn't exist in the current release, then go ahead and pay for registration and report the bug in the beta version. If it does exist in the current release, then report it as a current bug.

P.S. Have you tried it with WinXP? Is this perhaps a Vista-only problem? It should be carved in stone:"Never use version 1.0 of anything from Microsoft." Note this isn't Windows bashing - I live in Windows most of the time. It is, however, something I learned the hard way after many years. In the case of WinXP, I waited until it had been out at least a year before I switched from Win2k. Most corporate IT types I know are taking a similarly cautious approach to Vista whereever possible.
