TC7rc4 Compare by content: Ctrl-End doesn't go to end
In Editmode of function "Compare by content" (Shift-)Ctrl-End doesn't go to the end of the file, but to the beginning of the last line:
Place cursor on file beginning and press Shift-Ctrl-End - the last line is not included in selection (it should IMO).

Not exactly. Ctrl-Home and Ctrl-End go to the same position (column) on the first line and last line. Probably because when there was no edit mode in the previous version, this was all that was needed.StatusQuo wrote: In Editmode of function "Compare by content" (Shift-)Ctrl-End doesn't go to the end of the file, but to the beginning of the last line:
BTW. Selecting using the keyboard while not in Edit mode still is not possible. (While not in Edit mode it is possible to select lines using the mouse and copy them to keyboard.)
Hmm... What happened to Space and Insert keys?white wrote:BTW. Selecting using the keyboard while not in Edit mode still is not possible.

Indeed this is intentional and will not be changed.

Please don't forget that the last postings weren't about the topic:
So I consider this a bug.
[Edit:] The problem seems to be:
The X-Position of the cursor is not changed when using (Shift-)Ctrl-end. You can see this by placing the cursor in first line to second character and then press Shift-Ctrl-end: also in the last line the cursor is after the first character (which is within the selection), the rest of the line is not selected.
Agree - but since now there is an editor, going to the end of the last line is needed.white wrote:Not exactly. Ctrl-Home and Ctrl-End go to the same position (column) on the first line and last line.
