[Wish] Ctrl + Backspace functionality

Post by *fenix_productions »

It could be nice to add to Create file / directory dialogs Ctrl + Backspace functionality. What does anybody think about it?

I mean something like:
Enter "hello world" for directory name and place carret after last world. Pressing Ctrl+BackSpace should delete "world" only. It works for command line but not for custom columns or file / dir rename.

Assuming it also stops on .s and /s just like in command line, it would be a useful addition.

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3 (very rarely nowadays).
x64: Clients/Servers - Win10/Win11 and Win2K16 to Win2K22, mainly Win10 though.

Yes. All special characters are nice to see.

I would also like that.

In addition, I would like this behavior when renaming a file, in the in-place edit box.

Note that my addition is a very old request

And it would be nice if Alt-backspace (and Ctrl+Z) would work as undo on the command line. This works in "new directory" dialog box but not on command line.
