Hi
When using transfer manager for copying (ie. AlwaysCopyInBackground=2) and confirmation of mouse operations is disabled then copy progress remains in foreground.
Copy with mouse & using transfer manager

I have checked it now: I decided to implement it this way because when no confirmation dialog is shown, the user has no chance to choose between foreground and background transfers. Since it has been like this for a long time, I prefer to keep it like this for TC7, and not change it so near to the final release.
I would like to hear other user's opinion about this, though.

Also after accidentally dragging files/dirs somewhere, one has no quick chance to abort the operation,
but instead has to move the mouse to the tray and click on the background task, before aborting is possible.
Just a thought, because I personally avoid the mouse as much as possible...
This would be my choice, too.ghisler(Author) wrote:I prefer to keep it like this for TC7
Who the hell is General Failure, and why is he reading my disk?

First of all I want to thank you for quick reply.ghisler(Author) wrote:I decided to implement it this way because when no confirmation dialog is shown, the user has no chance to choose between foreground and background transfers.
Few words about your implementation. When copying with all conditions that i listed in first post, there is no way to use Transfer manager.
What about copying with mouse in "AlwaysCopyInBackground=1" mode and no confirmation is choosen? In this case user either has no chance to choose between foreground and background transfers.
IMHO, if user turn off confirmation then he must understand that no dialog will be shown and no confirmations will be asked. As copy is not destructive operation (no information is lost) give user right to choose.
And one more thing. How about option to use queue while moving or renaming files.
