Button Bar Issue with V5.51

Post by *Jaguarist »

Hello all, I'm very happy to have found this forum for the World's Greatest Program!! My question is this: I have set up TC so that I have all my programs grouped into sections.. like Graphics, Audio, Games, etc..

These different groups use bars, of course.. However, I find that I can only have two full rows of bars at my disposal.. I hope I said that correctly. In other words, lets say in my Graphics group, I have so many icons for graphic programs that it completely fills two rows worth of bar space. Now, when I want to drag and drop another icon to add into that Graphic group, I can no longer get TC to accept the new icon...

So, my question is am I limited to just using 2 rows of bars for any one group of programs? If my terminalogy is incorrect, please ask me for further clarification... :-)

Yes, switching between several toolbars is what I do when I select a particular group of programs... I select one toolbar for Graphics from the main default toolbar.. Or I can select another toolbar for Audio programs from the maim toolbar...

It is when I am in a particular toolbar, and it has a completely filled two rows of icons, that I cannot drag n drop any more program icons into that particular toolbar...

Yes indeed, there is a limitation of 2 rows.

You can get a little bit more space, if you reduce the button size of the toolbar.

Thank you for the definate information !! What I believe I'll end up doing is making a Graphic2 button out on the default.bar. It's the only thing I can think of at the moment. Once again, many thanks !! :-)

You can also use the very nice addon TCMenu, which you can find on our Addons page.

It can display normal .bar files as dropdown menus with icons.

Thanks for the suggestion. Is this dropdown menu limited as to the total number of icons that I can use in it??
