Behavior of Auto-complete: \\ between server and share?

Post by *gizzmo66 »

I've tried to use auto-complete in the command line. I type:

Code: Select all

cd \\MyServerName\
After that I see all the shares on that server, but all of them are with \\ betwen server and Share. So the command I can select is for example

Code: Select all

cd \\MyServerName\\MyShareName
And this doesn't work.
Is this a simple misconfiguration (don't know how to configure it) or an usage error? Or is it really a bug?

Confirmed, I would consider this a bug.
Can be tested with local shares by typing

Code: Select all

cd \\127.0.0.1\

Confirmed.

Looks strange, but on my PC (WinXP SP2) I can access all shares without problems (even with wrong notation) ...

This fails here under both W2k SP4 / XP Home SP2.

Confirmed - strangely the double backslash works here on Windows 2000, so I didn't notice it. I will fix it in TC 7.01.
