why always overwrite DESCRIPT.ION file when new install?

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Everytime I install a new beta or final release of TC, the DESCRIPT.ION file located in TC dir is overwrited :(

I think that's by design to have up-to date descriptions for some of the files in TC's folder, in case these decriptions are modified in a new version.

Perhaps it might help if you set the 'readOnly' attribute for Descript.ion, if you want to prevent that. I didn't try that though, but maybe it works...

Yes, this is by design to keep the descriptions up to date.

:) Good morning,

• But this is pretty annoying when the user had spent time to translate and complete
her¦his descript.ion into her¦his own language…
- I've been caught out two or three times by that overwriting, so then I found workarounds to keep my own file.
- Comments that the user is unable to read are useless, I guess.
- To update translated comments is a small work, retranslate the whole is time wasting.
