- Select two files and open the Compare contents dialog (menu Files/Compare By Content).
- Adjust the separator between the panels so the right panel HAS a horizontal scroll bar and the left has NO horizontal scroll bar.
- Make sure the left panel has focus.
- Press the End key to go to the last line.
- Scroll downward using the mouse wheel.
- Synchronization is off one or more lines!

I can NOT confirm that under the given conditions:

There must be some other setting(s) required to reproduce this.

I also tried TOTALCMD.INC.
I copied TOTALCMD.INC to TOTALCMD.INC3 and removed the first line of TOTALCMD.INC3.
Before mouse wheel scroll
After mouse wheel scroll
OS: Windows 98

I confirm the bug, even without deleting the lines - I just copied totalcmd.inc to totalcmd.inc3 and added a space to one of the lines.

Unfortunately this cannot be avoided - the other window cannot be scrolled any further because there are no more lines. however, it's not a big problem because when you scroll in the other direction, the two sides become aligned again. It also has no influence on the editor.

Maybe it can be avoided if you would always display or hide the horizontal scrollbars at both sides.ghisler(Author) wrote:Unfortunately this cannot be avoided
However, it can be very confusing if you do not scroll in the other direction, but move the cursor to a certain location and copy the line to the other side using the copy button. Note that sometimes synchronization is off more then one line, see my screen shot where it is two. Then, copying a line to the other side would copy the line to a line which is visually two lines lower/higher.ghisler(Author) wrote:it's not a big problem because when you scroll in the other direction, the two sides become aligned again.

I found a workaround by setting the top index back to that of the other window when scrolling. Not beautiful, but at least it works.
