Using back2life I just found out that, for my Kingston DataTraveler thumbdrive, a shift-del does not "by-pass" the recycle bin (doh--there isn't one).
Thus, I found out that every file that I renamed or deleted since way back when is still sleeping on my thumbdrive ... from as far back as a year ago even!!!
Yipes. Everybody with a thumbdrive should understand this danger, in case their thumbdrive gets lost or stolen.
The marketplace needs a tool for file delete (and security) management for thumbdrives -- let TC leadership corner the market as the best management tool for thumbdrives ...
(a) for starters, add a feature to quickly wipe all unused space on a thumbdrive, including wiping FAT and file space for deleted filenames and file data.
(b) add an option so that Back2Life can be packaged with TC as an option during initial purchase -- Mokrov would probably earn more if his proggie was included with TC as a $8 option that he would by trying to sell it separately for $15.
