Improvement of the search dialog

Post by *Postkutscher »

"Search subdirectories" in the search dialog is a great thing. I use it very often. But it is not very comfortable and fast to select search depth each time with mouse.

Mr. Ghisler, could you please add keyboard accelerators or possibility to input search depth in the string "search for" ?

For examle so :

*.htm <3
(3 levels)

1234??.* <0
(current level)

:) Hello !

• You can use the NumPad keys to set a depth… However, according to the position of the cursor in the drop-down list,
i.e. with “1” you can get either 1 level, 10 or 100 as well…

:) Hello !

• I checked here in English - but using the standalone English LNG -, there is alright a hot key for the string :
«Search subdirectories». It works…
- Whether it's missing in the embedded English, then it's a lacuna…

- You could test with the standalone LNG from the TC Web site, or from THERE.
It's my own set, it needs only to set a complete font (i.e. Tahoma) for the dialogues.

• BTW : I use mainly the mouse, so… :P
